Chimera Farm
A family citrus grove just outside Sciacca, close to the sea, across the areas of Bertolino and Maragani. About 20 hectares of fertile land, crossed by small streams.

Our story
Chimera Farm was born in the 1980s, when Mr. Chimera arrived in Sciacca and began tending his wife’s land. In 1987 the farm took its first steps. In 1989 his work brought him to the area around Ribera, today known as the “city of oranges”. That encounter sparked the desire to grow fruit of the very highest quality.
The same passion has passed on to his daughters, who today ship organic oranges and local products straight to your home.
Over the years the grove has grown and our growing techniques have been refined. What we plant has become more and more varied: from the most prized citrus to exotic fruit, such as avocado and mango.
The citrus grove

How we grow
- Bees in the groveWith no insecticides or pesticides, bees live among the trees and make honey from the orange blossoms.
- Natural treatmentsWe use organic methods, bacterial bait and broad beans (favino). On Sundays, sheep graze the grass and enrich the soil.
- Energy from the sunThe farm’s solar panels produce the electricity we use.

Our kitchen
Recently we have also made room for a kitchen where, with dedication, care and love for quality products, we make marmalades, jams and preserves with the fruit and vegetables of our land.
[TO BE COMPLETED] How we work in the kitchen: who makes the preserves, when, and with which recipes.
